Why Can't I? 05:51
Why Can't I? Yesterday's dreams where not that gone I belong, yes I belong Straight and narrow roads far gone I belong, yes I belong Wilderness, I hear the cry why can't I, why can't I? We must live before we die such a sigh, why can't I? Build a place, let us strive before we die, before we die escalate what's there above show some love, show some love

Strange Universe (LIVE at the BunnyFest in Guilford August 2019) I have no numbers on my head Never will I have a number on my head for I am the king of lost memories - never will I have a number on my head You may have A, you may have B, you may have C, but I'll never have no numbers on my head - no memories of what I said Strange colors, universe red, green, purple All the colors that make up the universe Andromeda out in the sky every single bird, every single earth-worm stretching above the sky live until I die

about

Fresh collaborative compositions from a gathering of seasoned musicians over five studio sessions (and one live appearance) over the span of 2019 in the Blues Bunker studio in Clinton, CT. Dave Gagnon (bass, acoustic gtr., keys, and vox) and Paul Zemeineiski (drum kits) both past members of Connecticut shoreline bands "Stop the World" and "Too Many Humans" team up with long time associate Gene Strom on lyrics and vox, and old-timer, but new-comer guitar gunslinger and vocalist Eric Romine.

The songs here can be streamed unlimited from this page. If you choose to download any or all than that would be appreciated as it would help offset the cost of production. I have made many recordings with Paul and Gene in the past, but for Eric, who was mainly a cover song artist, this is the only album he has, and will ever be on, that is all original and the jams were a revelation for him. If all goes well there will be a volume II.

The name "Stone Soup" comes from the old tale of a hungry wanderer who comes upon a village with nothing but a smooth stone in his possession and convinces the villagers of it's magic properties which, with the villager's garden contributions will work wonders in producing a delicious concoction for all. In this case the Blues Bunker studio is the magic stone and the talents of the musicians appearing within are the ingredients in the wondrous brew of sounds.

This is volume one of at least one more collection and we dedicate it to the fond memories of jamming with Eric, who took his own life in Feb. 2020.
